Minimum Educational Qualifications:
UPSC Assistant Commandants Recruitment 2026
A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit (as on 01-08-2026)
- Minimum Age:Â 20 years (must have been born not later than 1st August, 2006)
- Maximum Age:Â 25 years (must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 2001)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates:Â Up to a maximum of 5 years
- OBC candidates:Â Up to a maximum of 3 years (for those eligible to avail reservation)
- Civilian Central Government Servants/Ex-Servicemen:Â Up to a maximum of 5 years in accordance with existing Central Government instructions (total relaxation limited to 5 years)
- SC/ST and OBC candidates who are also Civilian Central Government Servants/Ex-servicemen:Â Eligible for cumulative age-relaxation under both categories
